Anne-Marie Pellew

I am BACP Registered and Accredited therapist with 14 years experience working as a therapist in Yorkshire.

I offer a safe space to gain insight and explore difficult thoughts and feelings  that your may be experiencing in your daily life. These challenges may be at work or in relationships.

I am interested in the impact of historic experiences and their ongoing influence on relational styles.

I am trained in Dynamic Interpersonal therapy which means I have additional expertise to help look at patterns and themes in your relationship with yourself and others.

I also work within the NHS IAPT (Improved Access to Psychological Therapies) Counselling for Depression Service.

I have a specialised interest in Anxiety and Depression.

We initially meet for an introductory session / assessment, to think about options and possible ways forward. I work privately in two locations in Tadcaster. There is an option of a less formal environment if this feels more appropriate to your needs.

My History

Prior to training as a Counsellor, I worked for the Police; receiving emergency calls from people in distress. I was awarded two Commendations from the Chief Constable for assistance in saving life which enhanced my awareness of skills I could further nurture and develop as a Therapist.
